To increase student engorgement and motivation, at times pop, rock and hit songs are excellent. Nothing like ‘Shotgun’ by George Ezra or ‘Old Town Road’ that can get students playing. For girls’ all the songs from ‘Frozen’ have been very popular!

Any books labelled ‘ easy piano’ are great for introducing this type of songs to students. We have in particular liked the John Thompson series’ ‘Easiest Smash Hits’.
