Diary of a Music Teacher: All Time Classics

Nothing beats playing some all time classics from time to time! Who wouldn’t have hear of ‘Fur Elise’ or ‘the Moonlight Sonata’, ‘the Fifth Symphony’ or ‘Chopsticks’?

There are easy and harder versions of all these classic songs, suitable for all levels of players. I find that these classic pieces are brilliant in encouraging a love for classical music and for enjoying other types of music than pop or rock music. Many students have in fact fallen in love with classical music after playing some of these all time classics.
