It is quite a nice feeling when you can learn something new from your students. For example, recently one of my students started learning the clarinet and eagerly showed me how the instrument works. I have never played the clarinet in my life and so I found it interesting to see how the blowing technique really determines the sound that comes out of the instrument!
It is always good to keep an open mind and learn from others, including your students. Lessons are often a two-way street and it takes co-operation from both parties to make them pleasant and productive.
In my experience, the most enjoyable lessons for all are the ones that engage both the teacher and the students in an interactive way.
