Diary of a Music Teacher Day 32: Where at Home to Place Your Instrument

It is essential to find a good place for your musical instrument at home. Creating a space for it where you can easily sit down and play without distractions is important for your musical development. Often I hear from students that they would like to play more but that their instruments are located s at their homes that practice is not always possible.

The lounge or living room might be a nice place for a piano, for example, but it might make it harder to practice if other family members use the lounge for watching TV in the evenings, for instance. It is good to consider all possibilities and possibly try different places for the instrument if it is easy to move it from one place to another.

A calm place away from technology for sure is a good bet 🙂
