Diary of a Music Teacher Day 29: Get those Christmas Carols Going with These To Books

This Christmas carol book is excellent for any beginner learners or other learners who are not very confident with their note reading, because the notes have the letter names written inside the note heads. What I have found is that playing familiar songs with the letter names inside the note heads can really help students to learn to read music, as this enforces them to look at the note and its name at the same time. What better way to learn to read music than while playing ‘Jingle Bells’!

After that, student will be ready to move onto the next level with the following book without the letter names written inside the note heads 🙂
